Santa's Grotto
2019
Sunday 24th November 2019
10:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Outside Browne's Hospital, Broad Street, Stamford
What a fantastic day we had in the Grotto.

Santa arrived at 10:00 a.m. in Red Lion Square and he was accompanied by Singers from the Pantomime Players, elves and The Town Crier as he made his way to his special Grotto in Broad Street.

He called into St John's Church to chat with customers and staff and had photo's taken.
He then continued his walk up High Street with the Town Crier ringing his bell and announcing his arrival. The singers were singing Christmas songs all the way.

We turned into Ironmonger Street where children were gazing open mouthed at the sight.

Then onto Broad Street and to the Grotto where Mrs Claus was waiting.

He saw lots of lovely children throughout the day and received a lot of lists and cards which he took back to the North Pole with him so that the elves could get to work straight away and not disappoint anyone.
At the end of the day he had to rush off as he had another very important task to perform. He had to switch on the lights in the square. There were lots of children there with their parents and grandparents watching.
Before he loft though he made one young lady very happy indeed when he popped out of the Grotto to say cheerio.

As he left town he left a parting message to everyone, "be good, be kind to each other and don't forget to leave a mince pie and a drink for me and some carrots for my reindeer. See you all again on Christmas Eve".

Merry Christmas Everyone
